Here at White Meadows, our Physical Education programme is designed to contribute to, support and complement our school’s aims, by developing children’s physical health and emotional wellbeing in a safe, supportive and challenging environment.
We believe in giving all pupils, regardless of their academic or physical ability, the opportunity to discover and develop their physical potential through a broad, balanced and developmental programme of activity. A mix of individual and team, competitive and co-operative activities caters for each pupil’s abilities and preferences, building their self-confidence so they are able to pursue a healthy lifestyle.
We offer various clubs throughout the year, run by school staff, external coaches, who come in to take play-time and after-school activities. Equally, we are supported by The Littlehampton Academy’s School Sports Co-ordinator, Gareth Jones, who organises all the inter-school tournaments we participate in. We are also in the fortunate position of having a covered heated swimming pool, which enables our pupils, from nursery to Year 6, to swim throughout the school year.
