Safeguarding

White Meadows Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This is reflected in many of our key policies including our Child Protection, Tackling Extremism and Radicalisation and e-Safety policies. When recruiting new members of staff all appointments are subject to pre-employment checking including a criminal records check.

If you have safeguarding concerns regarding a child, please contact our safeguarding lead, Miss T McFarlane, on [email protected]. If you believe the child is in immediate danger, please call 999

We understand that computing and the Internet are a fundamental part of society and therefore have a whole school approach to the development of computing skills. Education around safe use is essential and lessons in online safety are conducted throughout the academic year to empower pupils to take control of their own e-learning whilst developing an understanding of how to stay safe. We have put together a collection of links below, which we hope will help parents, carers and families stay safe when online.

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command is dedicated to tackling the sexual abuse and exploitation of children and young people. CEOP helps young people (up to age 18) who have been forced or tricked into taking part in sexual activity with anyone online or in the real world. Advice and links to support are available in response to other online problems young people might face, such as cyberbullying or hacking. For information, advice and to report concerns directly to CEOP, visit the Safety Centre by clicking on the Click CEOP button.
